I plan to write a piece of creative non-fiction as the text-based genres memoir. In this memoir, I will write in form of travel journal. I will go over my experience of traveling since I was a little girl. From my point of view, travel has the ability to shape one's personality because it enables a person to get away from his or her daily life and to broad the view. When I travel to another place, especially another country, I always found that I was shaped to a more open-minded and knowledgable person during the trip. I was able to experience various culture, see different sceneries, and talk to the local people. All of these enable me be away from the place I lived and was familiar with. Through traveling, I learned to see a thing from a different prospective.
From example, in my text-based memoir, I am going to write about my experience in Thailand, where I went when I was eight years old. Before that trip, I had been a person who was extremely afraid of animals. I could not pat an animal and I would immediately run away even when I saw one. I had no idea why I was so afraid of animals. I just disliked the smell and touch of animals. However, when I went to Thailand, the situation was totally changed. It is the hospitable atmosphere and exotic culture that helped me moved out of my confront zone.
Thus, in my text-based memoir, I will focus on how my experience in Thailand shapes my personality and its long-lasting influence on me.
